Pokemon Sword and Shield Announced for Nintendo Switch
An all-new adventure is coming in 2019.

This morning, Nintendo held a special Pokémon-themed Direct presentation, wherein they announced the next generation of Pokémon titles. Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield will be making their way to the Nintendo Switch console sometime in 2019. In these all-new adventures, players will explore the Galar region (which appears to be based off of England), and strive to become Champion.

Check out the announcement trailer below to see the new starter Pokémon: the Grass-type Grookey, the Fire-type Scorbunny, and the Water-type Sobble.

...look, I'm not saying we called it with the Pokémon Green Shield episode of Retro Encounter, but we totally called it. Regardless, we have a new generation of core Pokémon titles to look forward to! Stay tuned to RPGFan for more information.
