Happy Memorial Day Weekend!
05.26.18 - 11:15 PM

I hope everyone enjoys themselves this weekend, as it's the unofficial start of the summer, at least if you live in the United States — a three-day weekend of BBQs and hopefully good weather. Even if you don't live in the United States, it can still be a fantastic weekend full of fun in the sun. Sometimes, though, it's nice to get out of the sun and enjoy some fun games indoors, and we have you covered on that front as well. This week we have news from Gino DiGiola and Peter Triezenberg, and reviews from Tris Mendoza and Bob Richardson.

One of the most requested sequels of all time would probably have to be Final Fantasy Tactics 2. Yes, we got two Final Fantasy Tactics Advance titles, but those really don't count. Well, wouldn't you know it, Yasumi Matsuno and Square Enix actually had plans for that sequel at one point. They even showed some screenshots of what it was supposed to look like. Maybe one day this will indeed happen because these screenshots look fantastic!

Okay, I am not the most knowledgeable when it comes to Pokémon, but I do know one thing. Pikachu should not be solving crimes even if he looks cute in his little detective outfit. I don't know what Nintendo was thinking with this one, but hey, people love this series, so why not! Tris Mendoza has your complete review of this wacky spin-off for all you Pokémon Masters and wannabe gumshoes out there.

If you think Atlus is ever going to stop pumping out Persona games and spin-offs, then you are highly mistaken because even the spin-off games are a blast to play. So, the only question is how long it will take and how many spin-off games we will see before Persona 6. I am going out on a limb and saying it won't be as long as last time, but then again I am optimistic when it comes to Persona.

Star Ocean is quite a polarizing franchise. It has gems such as Star Ocean 2 and 3, but then you have god awful games in the mix like Star Ocean 4 and 5. And the worst part is that even great games like 3 aren't without their criticism. Now we can only hope that Star Ocean 6 has some sort of resemblance to the quality entries, but it still looks like we will be waiting for a bit longer before we hear anything about it.

Finally, the definitive edition of a game that isn't even really done being definitive because it's not even complete yet! Wait...does that even make sense? Whatever, it doesn't matter. What does matter is that Final Fantasy XV is available on PC, and Bob Richardson has his review ready for everyone. Maybe one day this game will be complete, in the year 2525!
