As if Switch owners didn't have enough games to get through, during September 4th's Nintendo Direct, two horror-focused games were revealed to be getting ported to the big N's latest console. We're spoilt for choice now!
To start with we have Call of Cthulhu, a first-person horror narrative game that's heavily inspired by H.P. Lovecraft. As a detective Edward Pierce, it's your job to solve the mystery of the death of a painter and her family. Of course, being inspired by Lovecraft can only mean lots of weird and unsettling horror, Check out our review of last year's PlayStation 4 release to see if this manages to bring a new spin on Lovecraftian horror. The game launches on Switch on October 8th!
The second of these that snuck into the Direct is DOTNOD's Vampyr, an action RPG where your choices mean everything. You play as a physician who has been turned into a vampire and wants to find a cure, but with choice such an important aspect of the game, will this be the route you take? Vampyr received a glowing review and Editor's Choice from our very own Caitlin Argyros, so if you've been waiting to sneak around the city streets at night in the palm of your hands, you haven't got long to wait. Vampyr debuts the on Switch on October 29th, which is just in time for Halloween!
We're loving the RPG attention that the Switch is getting, and we can't wait to see just what other neat adventures decide to make their way on to this neat little console. Stay tuned to see if Nintendo keep up with this deluge of new ports!
