For those who got excited about Cyberpunk 2077's expansive character creator (which will now forego gender pronouns and allow players to select a body type that best suits them!), this news may temper your enthusiasm somewhat. According to an exchange with CD Projekt Red on Facebook (that was later posted to the company's official forums), Cyberpunk 2077 will now take place entirely in first-person, with no cutaways to third-person in cutscenes.
And, yes (according to Bleeding Cool News) this applies to in-game romantic scenes as well, so I hope you're willing to get very cozy with a digital simulacrum of Keanu Reeves. As for whether or not this hampers your excitement for Cyberpunk 2077... well, that might depend on how fond you are of your in-game avatar. Or how motion sick you get. Or how many reflective surfaces there are in-game for you to admire yourself in.
Stay tuned to RPGFan for more information on Cyberpunk 2077 and CD Projekt Red! The game is slated for an April 16th release on PS4, XB1, and Windows PCs.
