On Monday, one of the eight (!?) RPGs we featured in Coming This Week was Amplify Creations' Decay of Logos, which has a staggered release on each platform. Among those, the Nintendo Switch version was intended to be out today.

Publisher Amplify Creations decided on Tuesday to move back the Switch release, stating:

Rising Star Games and Amplify Creations, after careful consideration, have made the decision to move the release date of the Nintendo Switch version of Decay of Logos to September 2019. This allows the necessary time needed to ensure players can experience our game in its best form from day one. The decision to hold it back by a few weeks gives us the ability to make fixes that will improve the overall quality and experience of the game.

The decision to move the Nintendo Switch release date of Decay of Logos does not impact the release dates for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or PC. Console patches are only days away from going live and will significantly improve the experience, while the PC version already features the latest updates.

The need for early patches and some early feedback might mean that the developers want to make sure the Switch release is in a better state on day one than it would have been had it released today. For everyone else, Decay of Logos is available now on PS4, and is coming to Xbox One and Steam (Windows only) on August 30th.

When we hear a definitive date for the Switch release, we'll be sure to let you know! In the meantime, why not browse our gallery, and/or check out the game's trailer:
