Dennoji Reto, the official virtual YouTuber for Level-5 Games, seems to have recently revealed that the original Yo-Kai Watch game is coming to Nintendo Switch. In a video talking about the Nintendo Switch Lite reveal, seen below, Reto says that on the same day as the Lite release, players will be able to enjoy Ni no Kuni, and later Yo-Kai Watch.

While no concrete details or screenshots were revealed, the possibility that players might be able to enjoy the debut entry in the Yo-Kai Watch series in a new way is an exciting proposition which will hopefully introduce more people to the series. Yo-Kai Watch was originally released for Nintendo 3DS in Japan all the way back in 2013 and inspirited a huge following of fervent fans.

A Western release for the most recent entry, Yo-Kai Watch 4: We're Looking Up at the Same Sky, which landed on Nintendo Switch in Japan on June 20th, was announced during Level-5's panel at Anime Expo 2019. No further details were announced, so Yo-Kai Watch fans hoping for the series to Gera Gera go to their Nintendo Switch will have to keep waiting, it seems.
