E3 2019: Enjoy New Gameplay Footage of Trials of Mana from Treehouse Live
A welcome surprise from the recent Direct presentation. 06.12.19 - 3:03 PM During yesterday's E3 2019 Nintendo Direct presentation, a 3D remake of Seiken Densetsu 3 — now known as Trials of Mana — was announced for the Nintendo Switch (and will also be coming to PS4 and Steam). During the Treehouse Live stream, more footage from Trials of Mana was shown off, giving fans a better look at what this Super Famicom classic looks like in 3D. Additionally, more info on the remake has surfaced from an interview in Famitsu. Check out the Treehouse Live footage below. According to Famitsu, the plan to remake Trials of Mana began about two years ago, with the intent of creating a "bolder" remake than Secret of Mana's. Since the original game never saw release overseas, the team wanted to be able to introduce this as a completely new title. The team was "not satisfied" with a build that was closer in design to the original game, and took feedback from Secret of Mana into account. Trials of Mana will be the most "action-heavy" game in the series to date, with combos, jump attacks, and the ability to switch weapons and characters on the fly. There will be no multiplayer component, however. The final game will be fully voiced, with the developers assuring fans that the voice acting "won't damage the character's images." There's more info on the game that the developers are unable to share yet, so stay tuned to RPGFan for more coverage of Trials of Mana.
