Airship Syndicate and THQ Nordic Announce Darksiders: Genesis
A top-down hack-and-slash set in the Darksiders universe. 06.06.19 - 10:40 PM You guys know me: I'm a pretty big Darksiders fan. While I was fairly disappointed by the recent Darksiders III, I'm a bit more optimistic for the future of the series now that Darksiders: Genesis has been announced. For one thing, it's being handled by Airship Syndicate, the studio helmed by Darksiders' famous artist Joe Madureira that recently put out the excellent Battle Chasers: Nightwar. Darksiders: Genesis marks a bit of a departure for the series, being a top-down action-RPG in the vein of Diablo. This actually kind of makes sense, seeing as Darksiders II already experimented with Diablo-esque loot drops. The game is a prequel set before the events of the original Darksiders, and marks the playable debut of the gun-toting fourth Horseman of the Apocalypse: Strife. Check out the announcement trailer below, along with some screenshots in our brand-new gallery. Darksiders: Genesis will be coming to PS4, XB1, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Google Stadia.
