Ys IX: Monstrum Nox Details Adol, Dogi, and More
Look what they did to my boy! 04.30.19 - 11:57 AM Falcom has confirmed the Japanese release date for Ys IX: Monstrum Nox, which will release for PlayStation 4 on September 26th. In addition, the company released new details on the game via its official website, offering new details and insights into some of the series' most iconic characters. But first, the box art! Looking sharp! Next, we have our first official look at series protagonist Adol and his platonic(?) life partner Dogi. Adol, you're looking... different, my man! Apparently, the adventurer is wanted as a witness by the Romun Empire, and has been detained in the prison city. While trying to escape, he became caught up in a strange incident. Dogi was detained as well, after completing his mission in Altago. Ys IX also has a new "supernatural action" the player can perform, called "Crimson Line." This ability lets players zip across great distances in an instant, even though obstacles and enemies. You can find some more screenshots from Ys IX in our gallery.
