It's time for another Final Fantasy re-release, which is always cause for celebration. There's actually quite the smorgasbord on the docket, with visual novels, strategy games, and more. So let's dive into it: just make sure that you aren't listening to Ondore's lies before we continue. Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age - April 30th (Switch, XB1) One of the best Final Fantasy games of the modern era, Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is an enhanced port of the PS2 original. You can read our review if you'd like to know more, but suffice it to say that the tweaks and improvements made to the International Edition of the game make it a truly fantastic experience. Now, The Zodiac Age is the latest entry in the franchise to make the journey over to the Nintendo Switch. If you haven't yet made the journey to Ivalice, you owe it to yourself to give this one a try. Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark - April 30th (PS4, XB1, Windows, MacOS, Linux) Hey, speaking of Final Fantasy Tactics... y'all like Final Fantasy Tactics, right? Well, boy, does 6 Eyes Studio have the game for you. After being Kickstarted a few years back, Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark is finally set for release this Tuesday. It's a strategy RPG inspired by Tactics and other genre greats and is sure to please anyone who's been pining for this type of game. Stay tuned for more coverage on this one in the near future, and check out the existing preview in the meantime. VA-11 HALL-A - May 2nd (Switch, PS4) Man, can you believe it's already May this week? Anyway. The cyberpunk bartending indie title VA-11 HALL-A came out a few years ago on PC platforms, and later on PlayStation Vita. Now, it's making the jump to consoles, with both the Switch and PS4 getting in on the action. Once again, be sure to keep an eye on this space for imminent further coverage, and be sure to check out its amazing soundtrack! WorldEnd Syndrome - May 2nd (Switch, PS4) We also have a visual novel from Arc System Works and PQube. WorldEnd Syndrome combines the two favorite tropes of visual novels: romance and murder. Featuring gorgeous character designs from Blazblue artist Yuki Kato, players will strive to uncover the mysteries of a small seaside town. Check out those environments, too! The game will be out on May 2nd. Shadows of Adam - May 3rd (Switch) Finally, we have Shadows of Adam. Originally released for PC platforms a couple of years back, this game is an indie JRPG in the style of the classics of yore. What happens when shadows descend on an isolated, peaceful town when its hero is gone? Find out when Shadows of Adam hits Nintendo Switch on Friday.
