New Atelier Lulua Trailer and Screenshots Focus on Combat
Always be ready for battle. 04.27.19 - 7:00 PM Publisher Koei Tecmo has released a new batch of screenshots for the latest entry in the Atelier franchise, Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland, this time focused on the game's combat system. As players explore the world looking for alchemic materials, they will encounter enemies they need to engage with in turn-based battles, with a party of five characters (three attackers and two in supporting roles). One major new mechanic in Atelier Lulua is the Interrupt ability, which allows players to gain an edge in battle. By filling up a gauge, players will be able to use an Interrupt Skill and use a pre-equipped item (without consuming it!) outside of their turn. Characters all have a unique roster of skills at their disposal: Eva, for example, can use her Range Shift skill to expand her area of attack for a few rounds of battle. Depending on the formation of the attackers at the start of the fight, a special Primal Art can be unleashed, granting special enhancements to the party for the rest of the battle. Koei Tecmo also revealed new details about some early DLC for Atelier Lulua. If you purchase the game within the first month of release, you'll be able to get a pair of unique costumes for Lulua, the "Innocent Fairy" and "Fish Girl" outfits. They won't be available for purchase after this period, so be vigilant, Atelier fans. For more goodies, there's also a Limited Edition available, which comes with an art book, soundtrack, and more.
