Welcome back, RPG fans, to another installment of Coming This Week. Square Enix has been on a roll with a slew of Final Fantasy ports lately, bringing their legacy titles to new consoles. I'm pleased to report that the particular legacy title releasing this week ranks among my all-time favorite games. We also have a few other interesting items this time around, so let's get into it!

Both Final Fantasy X and its sequel, Final Fantasy X-2, got the HD remake treatment back in 2013 for the PS3 and Vita. Now, the duology is headed to both the Switch and Xbox One, with all of the content from their International versions. For longtime fans or series newcomers, this is a great opportunity to experience X's tragic tale, which sees Yuna and Tidus embarking on a pilgrimage across the land of Spira. If you're looking for something a bit more lighthearted, then X-2 has you covered with its J-pop infused hijinks and innovative Dressphere system. It's a great package with tremendous value for JRPG enthusiasts.

If you're itching for something akin to Harvest Moon, Rune Factory, or Stardew Valley, My Time at Portia might just be able to scratch that itch. In it, the player must rebuild their Pa's old workshop, all while befriending the locals, sowing crops, and exploring dungeons. The game looks wonderfully charming, so if that's your cup of tea, be sure to spend some time in Portia when it drops this Tuesday.

For those who are really serious about their archaeological adventure games, we have Heaven's Vault releasing on Tuesday. Translation and deciphering language puzzles looks to be a main focus, so expect some unique gameplay. The way you translate (or mistranslate) and interact with characters has a large influence on the overall narrative, and there's also a stunning space-themed exploration mechanic. Those two components make this one to watch. As of now, the developers are working on bringing this title to Mac and iOS, so stay tuned for that as well.

Described as a "Sci-Fi Nordic Noir," Whispers of a Machine details the adventures of cyber-augmented detective Vera in a world that has largely given up advanced technology for fear of the consequences. Some, however, may believe that reviving it may be the key to salvation. Your approach as you navigate this world will affect Vera's augmentations and puzzle solutions. This title comes from the developers of Kathy Rain, continuing to bring us the mystery games.

From Red Entertainment and PQube, Our World is Ended is a visual novel about a group of game developers called Judgment 7. While working on their new Augmented Reality game, they briefly catch a glimpse of an apocalyptic future. Things only get crazier from there. If you're a fan of visual novels, this is definitely worth keeping an eye on. Our World is Ended will launch on Friday, with some physical copy releases and the Steam version still to come.
