Hello, RPG fans, and welcome to another installment of Coming This Week. It's been a long time coming, but the day has finally arrived... the day where Square Enix stealth releases the Final Fantasy VII remake for Neo Geo and Nokia N-Gage! ...okay, that's not really happening. Don't trust what you read on the Internet (especially today), kiddos. Anyway, there are a few noteworthy releases to get into this April Fool's day, so let's get into it.

The original Darksiders was an excellent action adventure game from the now defunct Vigil Games; now the Warmastered edition is making the leap to the Nintendo Switch. Players will take control of War, one of the four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, and set out on a bloody quest for revenge across a comic book-style world. When they're not hosting AMAs on disreputable websites (something they should never be allowed to forget), THQ Nordic publishes some pretty good games, so if you haven't given this one a look already, now's your chance. Are you in the mood for a spooky good time? Well, the classic adventure/puzzle game The 7th Guest is having an anniversary release on Steam with a plethora of gameplay enhancements. Players can skip scenes, highlight clickable areas, utilize a brand-new map, and experience The 7th Guest with never-before-seen visual clarity. Plus, if you're feeling retro, you can play the game with its original graphics and audio if you so desire. Everybody wins...except maybe the guests. Or when you get stuck on those logic puzzles.

With the announcement of Borderlands 3 out of the way, Gearbox Software is tiding over fans with the imminent release of Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition. Featuring numerous visual and quality of life enhancements including 4-player splitscreen, a tougher final boss, and more character customization options, this is the definitive version of the classic looter shooter. Plus, it comes packed with all of the original game's DLC, making this the most content-rich version of the original Borderlands. PC players who already own the original can even upgrade to the Game of the Year edition for free!

Okay, it's been so long that I legit forgot this was even being released outside Japan. Valkyrie Anatomia: The Origin is a mobile title that came out in the Land of the Rising Sun almost three years ago and is finally making its way westward on Thursday. Based on the classic Valkyrie Profile series, this game once again features the Valkyrie Lenneth alongside her sisters Silmeria and Hrist and takes place before the events of the original game. To my side, my noble Einherjar!

More harrowing adventures await with Death Mark coming to Steam on April 4th. After a Halloween (US) console release, it's going to be available to play on PC. Strange marks have been appearing on people in the city, consigning them to terrible deaths. Use every tool at your disposal to combat the curses and figure out the truth, but be careful...the methods you employ will influence what ultimately happens to you, and the mansion reported to protect the marked can't completely save you. Consult the review of the original release for more information.
