The saga will continue.

In a recent interview, Falcom president Toshihiro Kondo offered some insight into the future of the popular Trails series of RPGs. Specifically, Kondo teased the reveal of a new title for the series' upcoming 15th anniversary.
According to Kondo, now that Trails of Cold Steel has concluded after four games, "one of our challenges is how do we continue, while at the same time we want the next series to trace back the previous stories even for users who haven't played the Trails of Cold Steel series at all." Kondo stresses that there is "a little more" Falcom wants to do with the Cold Steel series, and wonders if there is a "two-pronged strategy" the company can do. At the very least, Kondo is hoping to show off a new Trails game for the series' 15th anniversary. Hopefully, Falcom will be able to "get the series into everyone's hands with as little waiting in between as possible."
