Atlus Registers Several Persona 5 Domain Names, Including "Persona 5 R," "Persona 5 S," and More
An announcement may be impending. 12.27.18 - 9:24 PM Following the reveal of Joker as a downloadable fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, many Persona fans speculated that an announcement from Atlus regarding a port of Persona 5 was imminent. While nothing has been confirmed at this time, Atlus has made a number of intriguing domain name registrations, all of which seem to point to the Persona brand. These domains were registered by Ryo's Office on December 26th (Roy's Office is a marketing company that has handled several Atlus domains in the past). They include "Persona5R.jp," "P5B.jp," "Persona5B.jp," "P5M.jp," "Persona5M.jp," "P5S.jp," and "Persona5S.jp." The funny thing is, there was already a "P5R.jp" domain, which has now been moved to Atlus' servers, suggesting that a website may soon appear. As to what any of these mean, it's hard to say, but one would speculate that Atlus is potentially planning to bring Persona 5 to other platforms: that "S" in one of the domain names sticks out to me, seeing as Dragon Quest XI's Switch port has a similar name. But hey, I'm just hypothesizing! Stay tuned to RPGFan for further updates regarding Persona 5. Be sure to check out our review of the game if you haven't already.
