Final Fantasy XV Standalone Multiplayer Expansion & Crossover Event with FFXIV Now Available
You can now get Garuda as a summonable Astral!
12.13.18 - 12:16 PM

Despite the cancellation of Final Fantasy XV's second wave of DLC (for the most part: we're still getting Episode Ardyn) and the departure of its director Hajime Tabata from Square Enix, the company is still continuing to support the game with new content and additions. This time around, a crossover event with popular MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV has been added to the game, which allows Noctis and company to battle XIV's incarnation of Garuda.

Additionally, Final Fantasy XV's multiplayer mode, Comrades, is now available as a standalone download on PS4 and XB1, now with even more content. Comrades is available as a free download to those who had the previous version (which came as part of Final Fantasy XV's Season Pass), and is $9.99 USD for everyone else.

As a heads-up, before the release of Episode Ardyn in March, a special anime episode will be released on the official Final Fantasy XV YouTube channel. This episode will be entitled Episode Ardyn- Prologue.
