Capcom has announced an expansion pack for the wildly popular Monster Hunter World. Entitled "Iceborne," this expansion will be available in August 2019 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and requires the base game in order to be played. Monster Hunter World: Iceborne will add new areas to explore and monsters to hunt, along with new quest ranks, gear, costumes, and story content. More details will be coming in Spring 2019.

But Iceborne isn't the only new content coming to Monster Hunter World. Capcom is enlisting the help of a man who knows how to hunt monsters: The Witcher 3's Geralt of Rivia will appear in a special collaboration with CD Projekt Red. New quests featuring Geralt will be available in Monster Hunter World early next year.

The Kulve Taroth Siege event will also be making a return on December 20th. This time, however, players will have the option to tackle a more powerful Arch Tempered Kulve Taroth, which will yield better rewards. There's also an Appreciation Fest event coming in January, which will commemorate Monster Hunter World's one-year anniversary. This event will decorate the Gathering Hub area, as well as add new quests and exclusive gear. Keep an eye out for an Arch Tempered Nergigante, as well.
