Nintendo and the Pokémon Company have released new details on the Mythical Pokémon Meltan, who made waves as the first Pokémon exclusively available in mobile sensation Pokémon Go. It turns out that Meltan is also the first Mythical Pokémon to be able to evolve: its evolved form is Melmetal, a mighty creature that can use the powerful Steel-type attack Double Iron Bash.
In order to evolve Meltan into Melmetal, you'll need a whopping 400 Meltan candies, which are received in Pokémon Go by catching Meltan, transferring them to the Professor, or making Meltan your Buddy. Transferring Meltan to the upcoming Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! will also help speed up the process. You'll be able to transfer Melmetal to the Nintendo Switch games once you've evolved it in the mobile game.
