FuRyu Announces New Game for Nintendo Switch
The alliance was proven to be alive. Now it's time to get to work. 06.08.18 - 11:41 AM Developer FuRyu has announced a brand-new retro-style RPG for Nintendo Switch, entitled Work x Work. Like with other recent FuRyu titles, this one brings some familiar faces to the table: the scenario for Work x Work is being developed by Noboyuki Inoue (who previously worked on Mother 3), and the graphics are headed by Nobuhiro Imagawa (who also worked on Mother 3). Other staff on the game include director Suzuka Yamamoto and producer Takuya Yamanaka, who helped develop The Caligula Effect. In Work x Work, players will follow a prince whose mission is to defeat the demon king as a part-time worker at a theme park called Heroes Land. It will be the player's job to guide visitors through the park's various dungeons, receiving "crowds" as a salary you can use to purchase new weapons and items for work, as well as customize the player character's room. It appears that Work x Work was originally a smartphone title, but development was moved to Switch because "the scale of the game seemed bigger." Work x Work is set for release on September 27th in Japan, and will retail for 4,980 yen. Stay tuned to RPGFan for more info.
