The Time has Come to Hunt Lunastra, the Empress of Flame, in New Monster Hunter: World Update
Another Elder Dragon returns to the New World. 05.31.18 - 2:02 AM Capcom has released the latest update for Monster Hunter: World. Version 4.0 brings with it a number of alterations and bug fixes, including a new hunt. In the spirit of the Deviljho and Kulve Taroth hunts, this latest update adds a new Elder Dragon to the take: Lunastra, the Empress of Flame, who has arrived to challenge the most seasoned hunters. Effective teamwork is a must for this battle: Lunastra will battle alongside her mate, Teostra, and use the environment to her advantage. Of course, the appeal of the Lunastra fight is to see the kinds of sweet loot you can make out of her corpse. The materials from Lunastra resonate strongly with those of other monsters, such as the Bazelgeuse, Nergigante, or the Xeno’jiiva, so check with the Smithy once the hunt is complete. With the arrival of Lunastra, a major change in the Elder Dragon ecosystem is also coming to the game. A new breed of Tempered creatures, called Arch-Tempered Elder Dragons, will be making their presence known in future updates. Check out the announcement trailer for the Lunastra hunt below, as well as a log of the major changes (aside from assorted bug fixes) coming to the new update.
