Final Fantasy XIII came out after a lengthy development cycle, and fans were understandably excited and anxious over the release of the game. While it was met with lukewarm reactions, it still has its fans. We've even taken some inspiration from it in naming out celebratory feature!

Today Peter Triezenberg shares his memories of Final Fantasy XIII, an ambitious game which fell short of expectations. Yet underneath the mediocrity, there are things that should be celebrated, and Peter's here to do just that.
