New frontiers await in the realm!

Director Naoki Yoshida has posted a New Year's greeting for all Final Fantasy XIV players on the game's official Lodestone message board. In it, he celebrates the release of the Stormblood expansion in 2017, and outlines what fans can expect in the coming year.
In addition to the highly anticipated Fan Festival and impending Patch 4.2, Yoshi-P teased a "highly prophetic message" that was recently dropped by his office, which you can view below. He also mentioned that he was looking to introduce an all-new event, in addition to the Fan Festival, to take place over a year from now. While Yoshida and his team have been taking a break to celebrate the holiday, they will hit the ground running in 2018 and deliver more exciting content for Final Fantasy XIV fans.
