Finally a Secret of Mana remake!
08.25.17 - 10:50 PM

Gamescom this week brought us a whole bunch of awesome RPG news including the news of a full remake of Secret of Mana. Well, it may not have been announced at Gamescom, but I'll count it! All the excellent news won't end this week either as Pax West is right around the corner as well. This week we have news stories from Mike Salbato, Peter Triezenberg, and Keegan Lee, and a review from Neal Chandran.

Ok, Square Enix, I know that you still haven't said no to giving us the Seiken Densetsu Collection, but all is forgiven for bringing us a remake of this amazing game. I can not wait to get my hands on this remake and just enjoy Secret of Mana in a whole new perspective. Thank you from all of us Seiken Densetsu fans!

Finally, a trailer for Trails of Cold Steel III and boy is it a beauty. If anything it's just an indication of how close this game is to being released, well in Japan that is. It might take some more time for the game to hit Western shelves, but getting to watch a trailer as awesome as this one will make the time fly on by.

I don't think anyone was surprised by this announcement. A game as beautiful as Final Fantasy XV needs to be pushed to its limits, and the only real way to do it would be for it to end up on PC. Some of the graphical enhancements for the PC port look downright stunning, and I can't wait to take my beast of a PC and put it through another test with this beast of a game. Now if only they would fix the story along with it.

We got tons of info from Gamescom this week but Fire Emblem fans will be happy that a new trailer for Fire Emblem Warriors was also shown off. I am so ready to mess with the Fire Emblem equivalent of Lu Bu. Every chance I get I am gunning for that character and not looking back even if I get my butt kicked every time. It's just one of the most fun things you can do in any Musou game.

There are so many good visual novels coming out in the next few months, and I can't wait to play them all. If you like visual novels and you like noir settings, then Collar X Malice is just the game you have been looking for. Neal Chandran has all the information on this beautiful looking visual novel that will leave you wanting more.
