During Gamescom 2017, Nintendo released a new trailer for Fire Emblem Warriors, along with a European release date of October 20th!

The newest trailer introduces four new characters from Fire Emblem Fates, showing off Takumi and Hinoka, the second prince and first princess of Hoshido, respectively, and Leo and Camilla, two members of the royal house of Nohr. Check out the trailer below to see these royals in action!

In addition to the Gamescom trailer, Koei Tecmo also updated the official Japanese website for Fire Emblem Warriors, adding information about the newest royals, along with new details on the "pair up" gameplay mechanic. Similar to the pair up system featured in previous Fire Emblem games, Fire Emblem Warriors will allow whichever character you control to team up with another unit, forming a vanguard and rearguard. While paired up, both units will gain access to new abilities, such as the Dual Attack, which can break an enemy's guard, the Dual Guard, which can completely negate an enemies attack, and the "Dual Ougi," which is a cooperative technique that differs depending on the units involved and their bonds.

For a nice little bonus, we also have news on a limited edition release for the Switch version of Fire Emblem Warriors. While no price has been revealed, the limited edition will come with a three disc original soundtrack and cards featuring characters from the Fire Emblem series.

Fire Emblem Warriors is set to release on the Nintendo Switch and 3DS on September 28th in Japan, October 20th in Europe, and later this fall in North America. Stay tuned to RPGFan for more news and info on the Fire Emblem series!
