Final Fantasy XV Teaming Up with Assassins Creed Origins for New Free DLC
Oh, Ubisoft. 08.25.17 - 10:49 AM In a surprising turn of events, Square Enix and Ubisoft have announced a collaboration between Final Fantasy XV and the upcoming Assassin's Creed Origins. Beginning on August 30th, players who have obtained the "Dream Egg" item from the Moogle Chocobo Carnival will be able to obtain the "Master Assassin's Robe" for Noctis, which resembles Assassin's Creed's Altair. Following that, a free DLC episode will be available for download: the "Assassin's Festival," which will take place for a limited time and see the town of Lestallum covered in Assassin's Creed paraphernalia. This isn't the first time Square Enix and Ubisoft have collaborated: Assassin's Creed costumes were available as DLC purchases for Final Fantasy XIII-2, alongside costumes from Mass Effect, so it's not as though this sort of crossover is unprecedented. You can find a trailer for the event below, and stay tuned to RPGFan for all things Final Fantasy XV. |
