Gamescom next week!
08.18.17 - 4:11 PM

We had a wide assortment of news and reviews this week as we wait patiently for Gamescom next week for some possible big and exciting news in the world of RPGs. This week we have news stories from Peter Triezenberg and Mike Salbato, and reviews from Nathan Lee and Alana Hagues.

Ys SEVEN is finally making its way to the PC after being PSP exclusive for what seems like forever. I remember specifically picking up a PSP to play Ys SEVEN, only to lose my poor PSP during Hurricane Sandy before I had a chance to beat it. I will not pass on this new opportunity to finish this excellent installment of this fantastic series.

Even though Undertale released nearly two years ago, it is a wonderful game that everybody should check out. And now that it's on the PS4 and the Vita there is no excuse. Check out Alana's fantastic review for the full lowdown on this console port. I won't lie, I am legitimately curious how the console version of Undertale deals with some of the game's uniqueness in some parts of the game that I thought might not be possible except on PC. I might have to check it out again.

Finally some more information on .hack//G.U. Last Recode's Vol.4. It seems like this will bring the story to a conclusion since the World R:2 servers are finally being closed. I mean when an MMO is shutting down, even a virtual one inside of a game, there can't be much left to the story to tell, right? I could be wrong, and I have a sneaking suspicion that I am.

Have you ever wanted to create your own RPG and place weird Mii versions of your friends and family as the playable characters and NPCs? I can't say I have on the second account, but it sure sounds like it would be a ton of fun. I have always enjoyed making awesome Miis as they have a simplistic look to them, and they always seem to look just like the person as well. Check out Nathan Lee's review of Miitopia for all that Mii goodness.
