Bandai Namco has released a cavalcade of new screenshots and media for .hack//G.U. Last Recode, specifically highlighting the new Vol. 4 that is being included with the package. Now, the company's Japanese branch has released some additional information on what players can expect to find in this continuation of the .hack saga.
One year and three months after the events of .hack//G.U. Vol. 3: Redemption, Haseo, who retired from "The World R:2" and was investigating, receives a mysterious e-mail hinting at the location of his friend Ovan, who was thought to have disappeared beyond the network.
The final promise that he could not keep... In order to locate Ovan before service ends on December 31, 2018, Haseo will once again log into the game and save his friend before time runs out.
Over the course of his quest to save Ovan, who has been imprisoned in ice at the new location "Great Cavity Qua Holm," Haseo will undergo yet another transformation and unlock a 5th form. A Job Extend of his Xth form, this is a natural progression of Haseo's Adept Rogue class, where his abilities increase as he grows.
Haseo will reunite with his allies from the .hack//G.U. trilogy, as well as encounter Kusabila, a mysterious girl who knows more about the newly discovered Great Cavity Qua Holm, and is also investigating a way to save Ovan. Who Kusabila really is, or what her true intentions are, are unknown.
.hack//G.U. Last Recode will be available for the PlayStation 4 and PC in Japan on November 1st, and in the West later this Fall. Stay tuned to RPGFan for more information.
