Here there be dragons. And griffons. And manticores.

Dragon's Dogma was an oddity from the last generation, an open-world action-RPG from Capcom that combined elements from The Elder Scrolls, Monster Hunter, Devil May Cry and a whole host of other inspirations into a unique pastiche. Some players found its melding of gameplay styles to be a refreshing take on the action-RPG, while others... well, you can read our review of the PlayStation 3 version. Either way, the game is getting a second lease on life on current generation consoles, launching in the West on October 3rd, and in Japan shortly thereafter on October 5th. Check out a new trailer from Capcom below, as well as a bevy of new screenshots in our gallery.

Based in an epic fantasy setting, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen combines exhilarating and deep combat with the freedom to explore and interact in this rich and detailed world. Choose between nine different classes and embark on your own adventure along with three AI companions, known as Pawns. These allies fight independently, develop alongside your character, and can be shared or borrowed online in exchange for treasure, tips and more.

This version contains the original Dragon's Dogma along with all additional content from its expansion Dark Arisen, including the Bitterblack Isle area, filled with challenging new enemies and quests, and additional high level weapons and armor sets.
