Square Enix has announced the next expansion for Final Fantasy XIV at this year's Final Fantasy XIV Fan Fest in Las Vegas. Entitled Stormblood, this new expansion will be coming to PS4 and PC in the summer of 2017, marking the end of the game's PS3 support. There will be a free PS3 to PS4 upgrade for those who are so inclined. Below, you can check out some details from the announcement, as well as a trailer.

Stormblood will take place in Ala Mihgo, with the main focus of the scenario being taking it back from the Garlean Empire, who have controlled Ala Mihgo for twenty years. The antagonist of Stormblood is Zenos Yae Galvus, XIIth Legion Legatus and the "ruler" of Ala Mihgo. Ala Mihgo won't just consist of the deserts and wastelands seen in the teaser trailer, as there will also be forests and other biomes. The game itself includes a number of new features across the board: the level cap is being raised to 70, there will be new Primals both classic and new, new Dungeons and high-end raids, an expanded inventory, and a mystery job that may or may not end up being Red Mage (Naoki Yoshida was wearing a shirt with Marvel's Scarlet Witch on it).
