New Pokémon Sun and Moon Trailer Debuts Six New Pokemon
I want to take Mimikyu home and give it a big hug. 07.19.16 - 9:28 PM Nintendo has released a new trailer for the highly anticipated Pokémon Sun and Moon that gives details on six brand-new Pokémon. Two of these were recently revealed in Corocoro magazine, but now we have official confirmation of their names, types, and abilities. Check out the video below to learn more. As you can see, there are a couple of additional features being introduced to Pokémon Sun and Moon as well. The first of these is Hyper Training, which seems to be an evolution of the previous Super Training which allowed players to boost their Poké'mon's base stats via minigames. Hyper Training is unique in that it allows players to boost the stats of Pokémon that have already reached Lv. 100 (the level cap in the Pokémon series). An NPC named Mr. Hyper will perform Hyper Training in exchange for collectible Bottle Caps, which you can gain throughout your adventure. The legendary Magearna holds a Bottle Cap that is necessary for Hyper Training, so this could end up being a late-game feature depending on when the player is able to add Magearna to their team. The second new feature is an update to the Pokémon Global Link, which will be ending its current service for Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire and updated to work with Pokémon Sun and Moon. In addition to being able to participate in Official Competitions, you'll also be able to arrange your own Friendly Competitions, Online Competitions, and Live Competitions by scanning QR codes. Pokémon Sun and Moon will be available for Nintendo 3DS on November 18th in North America, and the 23rd in Europe.
