Final Fantasy XV: Kingsglaive gets Theatrical Release Date in Japan
Third time's the charm? 04.24.16 - 11:59 PM One of the biggest announcements from the Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV event was the reveal of Final Fantasy XV: Advent Children... er, I'm sorry, Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV, a new CG movie set in the Final Fantasy XV universe that would chronicle the events leading up to the main game that focused on Noctis' father, King Regis, and thanks to a recent Active Time Report, we know when the movie will come out in Japan. Hajime Tabata and Aniplex publicity producer Toshiyuki Kanzezawa announced that Kingsglaive would be coming to Japanese cinemas beginning on July 9th. Tickets will go on sale April 23rd, and purchasing tickets in advance will also net you a sweet metallic poster, pictured below. Square has yet to reveal the Japanese voice cast, but the English voice cast consists of all-stars like Sean Bean, Lena Headey, and Aaron Paul, which definitely makes it sound like a cut above past Final Fantasy film endeavors (although I admittedly kind of dug Advent Children). Stay tuned for more information.
