The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD Might Receive New Amiibo-Unlocked Dungeon
It's the wave of the future, yo. 01.17.16 - 12:56 PM Nintendo is big on incorporating amiibo functionality into their latest games, and Zelda rereleases often get additional content/fixes, so the two going together isn't terribly surprising. An Amazon France listing (that has since been removed) stated that the Wolf Link amiibo included with copies of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD will unlock a brand-new dungeon called the "Twilight Cave." Additionally, using other Zelda-themed amiibo will unlock various other functions in-game, such as additional arrows, and the data saved to them will transfer over to the upcoming Zelda Wii U title. Additionally, some other minor fixes/alterations to Twilight Princess HD were glimpsed in a recent issue of Famitsu, which seemed to indicate that the oft-chagrined Tears of Light quests would be streamlined so that fewer Tears would need to be collected in order to progress. There will also be a touchscreen-controlled inventory, a la Wind Waker HD. Twilight Princess HD will also get the now-standard Hero Mode right off the bat, so players looking for more of a challenge can truly earn the mantle of hero. Keep in mind that a lot of this isn't confirmed by Nintendo at the moment, so keep an eye on RPGFan as we learn more... and be ready for Twilight Princess HD when the game launches on March 4th in North America/Europe and on March 10th in Japan.
