Persona 5 and Other Unannounced Titles to Come from Atlus in 2016
Put your speculation pants on. That's a thing, right? 01.13.16 - 9:30 PM In case you haven't figured it out, we're really excited for Persona 5 here at RPGFan. We already knew that Persona 5 wasn't the only Atlus title we had to look forward to this year — games like Etrian Odyssey V and Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir are still on the horizon — but it turns out that Atlus has even more in store for us, according to CEO Naoto Hiraoka in an interview with Famitsu. "In 2015, we were able to develop existing IP on the side, such as Persona 4 Dancing and Etrian Mystery Dungeon," says Hiraoka. "As for 2016 we'll start out with Odin Sphere, then plan to release numerous titles. This summer will have the long-awaited Persona 5...and of course, there are several unannounced titles, and it will surely be a year of gathering for Atlus' popular series. While the release period is still undecided, I also hope you look forward to 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim by VanillaWare." Aside from reinforcing the fact that Persona 5 is coming out this summer, the idea of several unannounced Atlus titles being in development should be enough to get any RPG gamer's heart racing. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll be over here praying for a Radiant Historia sequel.
