Diablo III Launches New Content in Patch 2.3.0
It's the return of the Cube!
09.01.15 - 3:38 AM

Patch 2.3.0 is now available for PC Diablo III players, and will bring to the game several interesting features. Among these are an added zone for Nephilim to explore, the new Kansai Cube, and an increase in Torment difficulty levels. The patch also launched the start of Season four for the PC player base, allowing them to once again brave the world of Sanctuary for new legendary treasure and achievements.

Brave the frozen wasteland as you battle your way into the decaying Ruins of Sescheron, and learn the fate that befell the ancient barbarians of Mount Arreat. This zone will feature new enemies, as well as a brand new environment for players to explore.

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of this patch is the new Kansai Cube, which bares a resemblance to Diablo II's Horadric Cube. The Kansai Cube allows players to alter the unique abilities of their legendary equipment. Extract, reforge, and upgrade various pieces of gear to better able your ability to fight against the Burning Hells. A full list of the cube's abilities can be found on the official website.

Torment levels have now been raised to ten, and starting at seven, require a set number of Paragon levels to be played.

  • Torment VII requires a Paragon level of 100
  • Torment VIII requires a Paragon level of 150
  • Torment IX requires a Paragon level of 200
  • Torment X requires a Paragon level of 250

Ending the patch's list of content is the beginning of Season four. Players will once again have the ability to claim fame on the achievement leaderboards, as well as the opportunity to find new legendary items. Like all seasonal content, it is restricted to seasonal characters only.
