What if they ported the old ones to Vita? I know I'd buy them.

Remember .hack? They were a series of really neat action-RPGs on the PlayStation 2 with a unique narrative gimmick. Since the games were about a fictional MMO gone haywire, their interface and mechanics were designed to mimic that of said MMO, dubbed "The World." In celebration of .hack G.U.'s 10th anniversary, CyberConnect 2 CEO Hiroshi Matsuyama mentioned on Twitter that he was aware of fan demand for a new entry in the series.

“Even to this day, it’s a title that gets plenty of support from fans, along with thoughts and demand for a remake, an HD version, a new title, or a sequel,” says Matsuyama. "All of these messages are reaching us, and we're embracing them."

Characters from the .hack games have shown up in crossover games and other merchandise such as Project X Zone, but a legitimate continuation of the series is long overdue. I, for one, would be happy if the older games were rereleased in some manner that I didn't have to spend my life's savings to acquire them (as they've gotten pretty rare).
