CD Projekt Announces Double Dose of Witcher 3 Expansions
The Wild Hunt will continue. 04.07.15 - 4:29 PM CD Projekt, never ones to skimp on content, are providing an additional thirty hours or more for their upcoming open-world RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt with a pair of expansion packs. The first, Hearts of Stone, is scheduled for release in October, and promises at least an additional ten hours in the wilds of No Man's Land. The second expansion, titled Blood and Wine, will arrive in the beginning of 2016 and will take Geralt to the new region of Toussaint. For those who are concerned about the quality of these expansions, CD Projekt Red co-founder Marcin Iwinski says "don't buy it if you have any doubts", although an expansion pass is available now for those willing to take the plunge. Price-wise (in US dollars), Hearts of Stone will cost $9.99, while Blood and Wine will cost $19.99. The expansion pass is $24.99, with the game plus expansion pass going for $84.99 on console and $79.99 on PC. These expansions are separate from the previously announced free DLC that will be coming to The Witcher 3. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will come out on May 19th for PlayStation 4, XBox One, and PC. Be sure to check out our preview of the game in the interim!
