In Makai Shin Trillion, or Destroyer Trillion, you'll need to take the titular villain Trillion down a peg or two. This will prove quite challenging, as true to his name, he has 1,000,000,000,000 HP and won't go down without a fight. Players in Destroyer Trillion will need to repeatedly battle the villain in order to wear him down, and to do this, they'll need to train themselves up in the game's roguelike dungeons.

By utilizing Training Medals acquired by achieving a high rank in training sessions, the Valley of the Thousand Blades dungeon can be unlocked, which allows the player to explore and level up their Demon Lords. Fighting enemies in Destroyer Trillion is based on a "simultaneous turn system" which allows for both the player characters and enemies to act in unison, with a mix of grid-based tactical combat and real time elements. In addition, one can find special "Demon Markups" that upgrade equipment in this dungeon, along with other rare items to aid in the fight against Trillion.

Demon Blacksmiths can upgrade your Demon Lord's weapons, either by spending a fee for a Standard Upgrade, or using Demon Markups to add special effects to a weapon. There can be up to eight slots per weapon for Demon Markups, and the number of slots increases based on the number of Standard Upgrades the weapon has received. Some examples of Demon Markups include the Mark of Expulsion, which allows a character to attack twice in a row, or a Marking of Break, which nullifies damage taken up to five times.

Items can be bought and sold at Faust's laboratory, which receives additional strange wares as the game progresses. This is also where you can employ what the game calls "Reinforcement Devils." When your foe has 1,000,000,000,000, you'll need all the help you can get. Japanese gamers will be able to take the fight to Trillion when Destroyer Trillion comes out on Vita on May 21st.
