Of Moon Bases and Special Attacks in Bravely Second
That wizard did, indeed, come from the moon. 02.28.15 - 4:01 PM The Japanese release of Bravely Second: End Layer creeps ever closer, and there are some features that we've yet to hear much detail on — in particular, the Moon Base that serves as this game's version of the Norende Village sidequest from Bravely Default. Similarly to the last game, powerful monsters will invade the base via Wi-fi, and these "Demon Kings" can either be slaughtered for rare loot or given to other players with Streetpass enabled. One of the Demon Kings, pictured below, should look rather familiar to Bravely Default vets, but the rest are... curious. These bosses can be weakened by "Busterships" from the moon which lower their levels.
Meanwhile, some new details about characters' Special Moves have surfaced. These powerful abilities don't use MP but are performed when certain conditions are met. Like in Bravely Default, the names and catchphrases for these moves can be customized and they'll change the battle music when activated. Bravely Second: End Layer comes out in Japan on April 23rd.
