Tri-Ace Purchased by Mobile Compary Nepro

Japanese mobile company Nepro Japan recently announced its acquisition of Tri-Ace, the gaming studio behind such titles as the Star Ocean series and Valkyrie Profile. According to Nepro Japan Group, they hope that their purchase of Tri-Ace will "double its mobile game sales" and improve the quality of their products.

What this means for Tri-Ace's unreleased projects is unknown, but it seems as though the company's attention will be shifting to focus on mobile development. It's a shame, since this likely means we'll never see anything from that promising tech demo they showed off a few years ago. We'll keep you posted if there are any further developments.
