Final Fantasy XV to Feature Team Attacks and Summons
Permission to engage in jolly co-operation? 12.27.14 - 3:43 AM More details about the highly anticipated Final Fantasy XV are gradually making themselves known, and in a recent discussion with Famitsu magazine, Hajime Tabata divulged a few tidbits of information regarding the game's battle system. According to Tabata, party members will be able to unite to perform powerful combination attacks. The idea for the time being is that that players will have to input timed button presses in order to successfully execute these attacks. These special attacks will also be partially be determined by the character's weapons, multiples of which can be equipped with one serving as that character's main weapon, and will cost MP. Rather than being limited exclusively to the use of magic, MP will be a resource used for special abilities, as well as to dodge and evade enemy attacks. The series' iconic summons will also be present in Final Fantasy XV, although they are only usable in battle by protagonist Noctis. Final Fantasy XV is currently in development for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. A special demo for the game entitled Episode Duscae will be made available with Day 1 editions of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD.
