Kingdom Hearts III Teaser Footage at II.5 HD Launch Event
Featuring new Heartless designs and transforming Keyblades, among other things. 12.02.14 - 1:26 AM Kingdom Hearts II.5 HD ReMIX is right around the corner, by which I mean it's out today! At the launch event for II.5 HD ReMIX, some new footage of the long-awaited Kingdom Hearts III appeared in the form of a brief teaser. This footage, unfortunately, could not be recorded, but has been described by attendees of the event. ![]() The first thing shown was some concept art for various new Heartless enemies — some as sketches, while others were (incomplete) 3D models. Afterwards, Sora could be seen in his Valor Form costume from Kingdom Hearts II, although other forms/outfits were not confirmed. Sora's Keyblade is transformed into a pair of dual pistols, as well as a large cannon. The new footage also confirmed the return of the Land of Departure, a world from Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, as well as showing what may be a new hub world (this is pure speculation) that bears a striking resemblance to an area from the Japanese browser game Kingdom Hearts X [chi]. Sora then enters a room and picks up a piece from a chessboard that is next to a large, curtained window. The footage is apparently quite raw, but still, it is nice to hear some details! Kingdom Hearts III is currently in development for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and rest assured that we will keep you posted as new information comes to light.
