Telltale Games' take on Gearbox Software's Borderlands series will arrive within the year, and now the first official trailer has been released!
We also have some new plot and casting details. Set on the ubiquitous planet of Pandora, shortly after Borderlands 2, Tales From the Borderlands will feature five episodes, in a similar vein to Telltale's other popular series. Our protagonists are Rhys (Troy Baker), a Hyperion 'suit', and Fiora (Laura Bailey), a con artist, who will encounter bandits, Vault Hunters, and other unsavory characters in an effort to reclaim cash they both think belongs to them. Other cast members include Chris Hardwick as Vaughn, Erin Yvette as Sasha, Patrick Warburton as Vasquez, and Dameon Clarke as Handsome Jack, with more casting details to be revealed in time.
The premiere episode, 'Zer0 Sum,' will be available soon digitally on PSN, XBL, Steam, the Telltale Online Store, and other digital distribution sites. Each episode will cost $4.99 USD individually, and a season pass is also available with pricing varying by platform ($19.99 on PS4/PS3, $14.99 on XB1/360, and $24.99 on other digital platforms). Mobile devices will also be seeing a release by the end of 2014.
