Anyone who visits one of Japan's Pokémon Centers during the month of February is in for quite a treat. If you bring your 3DS along with your copy of Pokémon X or Y, you'll get the chance to download a special Gengar and Scizor to add to your Pokémon collection.
While both Pokémon will be at level 25, Gengar's moveset will consist of Night Shade, Confuse Ray, Sucker Punch, and Shadow Punch, and Scizor will know Metal Claw, False Swipe, Agility, and Fury Cutter.
In a devious plan to get everyone to spend more money on cute Pokémon merchandise, the special Pokémon will not both be available at the same time. Instead, one of them will be available for an hour and then will be replaced by the other during the next hour in an alternating fashion.
As someone who loves both Pokémon and adorable merchandise, it's probably a good thing that I won't have the opportunity to participate in this. On the bright side, this could mean that we might be seeing a downloadable Pokémon promotion in North America sometime soon, although there's no confirmation of that.
