Bravely Default's Producer Feels The Game Has No More Room For Improvement
It's fine just the way it is, thanks. 01.17.14 - 1:06 AM As we all know, the version of Bravely Default that was released last month in Europe and that will be released next month in North America is not the original version of the game, but an enhanced edition that was released in Japan under the title Bravely Default: For The Sequel. After the game's original Japanese release in 2012, the team spent the next year making improvements to the game that will carry over to the upcoming sequel, Bravely Second. In an interview with Official Nintendo Magazine, producer Tomoya Asano was asked if the sequel would have an improved world map. Asano's answer was unexpected, but very refreshing. "In terms of Bravely Default [...] we worked specifically on making improvements to it for almost a year after it was released in Japan, so we feel that there is really no need for any more improvements. In my opinion, if there [were] more things you 'could' do with the map, for example, it might make some players feel that there were more things they 'must' do with it. "In Bravely Default, we tried to eliminate all elements besides those which we wanted our players to enjoy, to streamline the experience."
