The upcoming Nintendo 3DS remake of the original Game Boy title, Dragon Quest Monsters 2, features a brand new system that allows players to create their own randomly generated dungeons to explore. This is done by making combinations of different magic keys and words.

Each combination will yield a different result, but the game allows the player to keep track of the outcomes of the combos and even offers the ability to share the keys via 3DS Streetpass. This feature is only available after the main story has been cleared is reported to be the ideal way to continue to level up your team of monsters. The original game featured a similar system, albeit it was much simpler and there was no way for the player to keep track of the results of each key that was used.

Dragon Quest Monsters 2: Iru and Luca's Marvelous Mysterious Key is slated to release in Japan on February 6th. I would love to get a chance to check out this feature, so let's hope that a localization is somewhere in the future.
