Game of Thrones Gets Europe Release, Too
Focus Home Interactive doesn't want European fans to get left out in the cold this winter. Also, new screens! 12.05.11 - 9:55 PM A few weeks ago we discussed Atlus USA bringing Cyanide Studio's Game of Thrones RPG to North America. The game is based, of course, on the bestseller series of novels by George R.R. Martin, and has been adapted by HBO into a hit TV series. Now, France-based Focus Home Interactive has announced they will be publishing the game in Europe for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. Written under the supervision of author George R.R. Martin, Game of Thrones puts you in control of two characters: Red Priest Alester, who seeks redemption, and sworn brother of the Night's Watch, Mors. Over the course of 30 or so hours, you'll meet familiar faces from the books and show, choose character classes, learn new skills, and use what's known as an "active slowdown tactical combat engine" to slow time during battle to plan your next move. Focus and Cyanide promise more media is forthcoming, but for now, we've added 4 new screen shots to our gallery below. Game of Thrones is due for release in early 2012 in both North America and Europe.
