A Closer Look At The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's Concept Art
And I really do mean, a closer look. 10.29.11 - 4:53 PM Skyrim, the world of The Elder Scrolls V (as you no doubt have figured out) is a rather detailed one that's also very easy on the eyes. While we've had a handful of pieces of concept art in our gallery for a while, Bethesda is allowing fans a closer look at the game's many more pieces of art, and how it transitioned into in-game environments (or characters). The entirety of this project is called Completely Blue Sky - The Concept of Skyrim and consists of three portions: several new pieces of concept art; the video below showing the transitions; and the most recent episode of the Bethesda podcast with executive game director Todd Howard and concept artists Adam Adamowicz and Ray Lederer. (Here is a direct link to the Skyrim episode,if you prefer.) It is 16 minutes long, so you won't need to get too comfortable like you would for our RPGFan podcasts. The video is much shorter than that, but worth watching: And yes, they really did draw concept art for meat. See? The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) is due out on November 11th, with a collector's edition also available for $149.99 US. Be sure to check back with RPGFan around then for a review!
