Another Disgaea 4 Gallery Update And Yes, More Details
The punishment system (again), and see what your pirate ship can look like!
11.23.10 - 1:02 AM

You may have seen a lot of Disgaea 4 already, but that doesn't mean you've seen all or even most of it yet, because we've got more. The screenshots portion of our gallery now extends to four pages, and that's a lot in the new layout. You'll see lots of treasure chests and a few examples of what your custom pirate ship - which can either help or invade other players' games - can look like. This is all part of Disgaea 4's online mode, which we talked about earlier. After building an equally colourful ship (or not), you will have to choose which units will board and what floor you'll be on. You'll also be able to view online rankings to see where you stand among other players and their ships, including the number of KOs.

You might recall talk of a punishment system earlier, but apparently another name for it is 'educational coaching.' You'll need two things: A 'coaching classroom,' and to kidnap an enemy unit, tossing them through the same portal that you summon your allies from. Like we talked about before you have a few options in how to deal with your new prisoner, but what about the end results? If they don't switch teams (in the game, that is), you can extort money or even information on treasures from these guys. I always did love a good demon conversation.

There's also a new class in the screens: a yin-yang mage. And on the artwork page, you'll stumble upon Desco - an ultimate weapon who was originally going to be Disgaea 4's final boss, but for whatever reason she's stuck in a Netherworld prison instead. Apparently, the game has a map-editing feature as well, though it wasn't really detailed yet.

Disgaea 4 will be out in February in Japan and next summer in North America.
