Japan Gets Record of Agarest War Sequel
03.25.09 - 9:04 PM

Compile Heart is working on a prequel/sequel to its RPG title Agarest Senki (Record of Agarest War). Titled Agarest Senki Zero, the game is currently 70% complete and set for a summer release on PlayStation 3. The prequel's Soul Bridge System (depending on which heroine the protagonist decides to marry, the abilities and appearance of the couple's off-spring, i.e. the next generation hero will vary) will return in Zero. However, the developers are apparently implementing new features that allow the player to strengthen the bond with the heroines even further. Depending on the player's choices during a conversation, the respective heroine's facial expressions will change. If a heroine has come to like the protagonist, she will wear a special costume when meeting him in town. Agarest Senki Zero will be available in Japan in June for 7,140 yen ($72.97 USD).
