RPGFan's April Fools!Judging from some of the e-mails that we received yesterday, it seems like some people were fooled by our April Fools jokes. Actually, we had 3 updates up yesterday and all of them were April Fools updates. The most easy to figure out was the site's new design which was so ugly and weird that people just had to figure it was a joke :P. You can check the update for that at the following link right here. However, you won't be able to see the design if you missed it since it is now back to normal and so are the new editor pictures on the staff page.Another joke was in the Review update from yesterday. Although most of the reviews were legit, the 2 last reviews for Lunar: SSS were obviously jokes. I'm sure everybody got that one. You can check the update for the reviews right here. The most believable one was the update about the Chrono Cross US screenshots but even then, I'm sure most people figured it was a joke. All of the pictures that we posted were the handy work of our own Chronologist who took it upon himself to do an awful translation job in Square's place :P. However, I have to say that the best April Fools joke yesterday was the one that I did on the staff here at RPGFan when I announced that I was resigning from my position of Editor-in-Chief on the site. That was so much fun. I really made it seem believable and I fooled a lot of them. This of course led to every editor on the site fighting for my much-coveted position and I also heard there was a huge party in the office when I left after my announcement. Because of this, I have now fired every single editor of the site so it's just me from now on. If you see other editors doing updates, it's just because... errr.. hmmm... it's ME pretending to be them... yeah... that's right!! |
